On site full service optical laboratory: 

Our in-house laboratory allows us to serve you better. Our lab has the lastest in equipment to not only fabricate your glasses, but to maintain and repair them should they become broken or damaged.  With many of our single vision prescriptions, same day service is available.

Eye Examinations: 

A complete eye exam is not just a vision test.  The health of your eyes and a lifetime of good vision take more than a rushed check for glasses. Our comprehensive eye examinations will check your eyes inside and out for any potential eye disorders or diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and retinal problems. Your visual skills and abilities are carefully evaluated and appropriate treatment is prescribed. We are prepared to handle whatever your eyecare needs are, and will treat them with the latest in diagnostic equipment.  We are committed to keeping up with eye care technology so that we may offer you the best eye care available.

Eye Diseases:

Cataracts, Glaucoma, Diabetes:  If you have special eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma or complications from diabetes, you will require special attention to your eye care.  Our doctors can effectively manage these conditions and prescribe the appropriate medications or, when necessary, arrange for more advance care from eye care specialist or arrange for surgery.  If you would like information on any of these eye diseases, be sure to visit our "Glossary of Terms" to the right of this article, or click on any of the diseases in this article for more detailed information and photographs that may help you to better understand your eye condition.

Surgery Co-Management:

Our office provides working arrangements with eye surgeons and more specialized eye care doctors to provide many of the surgical services such as cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery,, Strabismic surgery, retinal detachments, retinal tears and hemorrhages, as well as refractive surgery. We provide post-operative care for cataract patients.  We also co-manage post-operative Refractive surgery patients through our relationship with TLC. You can be assured that your eyes will be comprehensively managed by the best eye care professionals.

Emergencies:

Eye Infections, Eye Injuries, Broken or Lost Glasses and Torn Contacts:  Our office provides emergency services for our patients.  Please call our office at 423-239-5491 during office hours or Dr. Cham McMillin's emergency numbers, 423-571-9499 or 423-239-4383, or Dr. Billy McMillin's emergency number, 423-963-0160, after hours or on Sundays.

Our office staff will work with you to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.  State of the art microscopes allow us to examine the front surface of the eye and facial areas around the eye for infection or injury. After assessing the extent of the injury or infection a treatment plan will be formulated and explained to you.  Treatment may include medications and supportive care.

Follow up visits to monitor your recovery will be scheduled as needed. If your glasses or contacts are lost, broken or torn, we will do our best to provide you with suitable vision help until you can come in during regular office hours.
